This is a Mac OS X package installer of the Internet Software Consortium's DHCP server distribution, version 3.0. For more information on specific topics, please visit the addresses listed below.
This package installs the DHCP distribution in its default locations for a Darwin/OS X setup.
It includes an example dhcpd.conf file which implements a small private network over en1 (by default, an installed AirPort card) on 10.0.1.0. This setup uses the Earthlink DNS servers. You should change the DNS servers to your own.
It also includes a set of startup scripts which go in /Library/StartupItems. The startup scripts do not run by default. When you are satisfied with the setup, add a line to your /etc/hostconfig reading:
DHCPSERVER=-YES-
