'There are easily more than 20 noncontraceptive uses for the Pill in common practice,' says Giovannina Anthony, MD, an attending physician of obstetrics and gynecology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. 'This drug saves women from surgery for gynecological conditions like endometriosis, fibroids, and severe bleeding and pain.'"
